Below is a short description of the type of support we have provided for other Schools in the past. Please contact us to arrange a meeting in person. We can then tailor our provision to suit your cohort, timetable and specific learning outcomes.
GTS Programme
Gateway To Success. A school based 9-10 day programme delivered by staff practiced in the delivery of vocational training in High Schools. The programme is designed to be both engaging and academically rigorous to meet the planned outcome of boosting the number of students gaining 5 A-C passes.
The programme delivers the three Wider Key Skill qualifications. Successful students gain the SCAAT point equivalent of 2 GCSE B grades suitable for College entry, CV enhancement as well as the development of these practical skills for life. The programme content is focused on study skills and career related tasks which also aids and motivates the student to raise their performance in their other GCSE subjects.
Up to 30 students per course. Up to 5 days of the course can be delivered during normal school holidays to minimise loss of student curriculum time. The School supports by providing a suitable classroom with access to IT.
"The course had a tremendously positive impact on our Year 11 students. The qualification was very significant to many of our students gaining 5 A-C passes."

Rocket Factory
A highly practical and engaging activity that can be tailored to the desired learning outcomes of the event. Pupils manufacture rockets out of paper and are amazed when their creation fires 100s of metres or the length and height of the largest Sports Hall! Learning outcomes can be tailored to the cohort: for example: Gifted and Talented Y10 Maths to calculate height and teach SOHCAHTOA to simple engagement with science for KS2 or more challenging KS4 level one pupils.
This activity is ideally suited to development of Enterprise skills for life by formation of teams with limited resources, multiple objectives and real time change to provide effective reflection and learning about the world of work and business.
Full risk assessments are available but very light paper rockets and very low air pressures of 2-3 Bar (typical cycle tyre) ensure that risks remain low even with challenging cohorts.
Teamwork Development
Ideal to support whole year group activity days. A range of dynamic and highly engaging activities to develop problem solving, personal thinking skills, communication and team work. Activities range from giant catapults, giant construction tasks to a range of classic military style problem solving command tasks. Activities can be run at your School to support class, Year group or whole School events.
Anglia Adventures can also deliver highly engaging multi-activity days using a number of trusted activity centres. Typically 50 or 100 pupils can be provided with an intensive learning experience rotating through Low Rope Command Tasks, High Ropes, Canoeing or Mountain Biking. You and your School can rest assured that a fully risk assessed, safe, dynamic and effectively organised day will be delivered. Testimonials are available from leading Independent Schools such as Harrow and the Royal Hospital School.
Cycling & Mountain Biking Skills
Promoting learning on healthy living our mobile Mountain Biking skills course can support Schools by encouraging cycling and teaching the more dynamic riding skills used in off-road, all-terrain trail riding. This is not a road skills course but short and dynamic skills development over ramps, low jumps, out of saddle challenges and see-saws.
We can also lead, train and assess Mountain Biking skills as a GCSE PE skill.
Anglia Adventures can also safely train and lead mountain biking trips to more demanding purpose built mountain biking trails such as High Lodge near Thetford. First Aid & MIAS qualified Mountain Bike leaders can provide a highly engaging event that is well practiced and fully meets the County Council safety requirements. Our links with local bike hire providers ensure quality equipment is available at the keenest price.

Anglia Adventures has many years of experience in the safe delivery of outdoor education, residential events and large scale Duke of Edinburgh''''s Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level and Explorer Scout Awards. Pre-expedition advice, support or training is available as well as Mountain Leader and Canoe Coach qualified supervision/organisation Expedition support.

BTEC Workskills
Either one day per week over one academic year or delivered as a 10 day intensive course. This course is vocationally equivalent to one A-C grade GCSE in the new qualifications framework. It equips the student with skills for work, career development and job seeking. It is classroom based and engages through practical team work, enterprise and personal development of all the skills needed to effectively step into employment.
If your School already delivers this program we can support by a short 8 unit program to double the qualification value to 2 x A-C GCSEs.
Master Maths
A highly engaging and fun programme designed to raise pupils'''' engagement with the concept of Mathematics. Based on giant tangram shapes and large scale practical games to develop learning on shapes, angles and scale. Ideally suited to KS3 but can be adapted to KS2, KS4 foundation or G&T.
FIT Programme
Future Instructor Training (FIT). Designed as a foundation for the pupil that aspires to future employment in the outdoor sports industry or perhaps Uniformed Service. It is portfolio based with pupils developing their personal skills in Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Camping, Practical Navigation and First Aid.
A one year, Year 10 programme on one day per week. Outcomes are 37.6 level one SCAAT points (D grade GCSE equivalent) or 69 level 2 SCAAT points (B grade GCSE equivalent). Also delivers employer recognisable qualifications in First Aid and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
